The Neighborhood

The apartment is located in the 6th district of Lyon, safe and quiet neighborhood, favorite area of the local upper class. It hosts the famous Parc de la Tête d’or (117 hectares), where locals meet for jogging, picnicking, sunbathing, or even to discover the animals of its freely accessible zoo. Within the district you will also find the Brotteaux area with its majestic former railway station and its many trendy places. Its geographical localisation makes it a very strategic location, as it is both close to the city center and easily accessible by car or transports (near peripheral, highway, Croix Rousse tunnel, Part-Dieu train station). The fluidity of its road traffic is particularly appreciated.

It's a such a pleasure to stay at this wonderful home in the excellent location in Lyon. The apartment is even better than pictures when I arrived. It's so beautiful and clean with all the fine details have been provided. Lisa and her associates kept in touch with me prior to arrival and greeted me in apartment on arrival. I highly recommend this apartment and for sure will return to this lovely apartment when I am back to Lyon.

Local Living in an Artful Abode. Sixieme Ciel is so named, I believe, because it is located in the 6th arrondisement of Lyon. And that, for us, was one of the best aspects of the place: the 6th is a residential area , calmer than the presqu'ile and croix rousse, but not at all a backwater. In short walks, you can get to Les Halls Paul Bocuse, the Parc Tete D'Or (and the opulent mansions on its border), several bus stops and metro stations. A little further walk takes you to both rivers and the old town. The apartment provides two separated sleeping areas, both of which have electric shutters to seal out light (Great for naps!). The decor is quite artful and pretty. We loved the red kitchen and the 'bunny dolls' in the front bedroom. Weather was not nice when we were there, so we didn't get to use the terrace much, but the view is so lovely over a calm space of trees and lawn. Very little noise from either neighbors or the street. Great shower and washer/dryer. We will be back!

Lisa’s place was just as advertised, very clean, great location -easy to walk to multiple parks, fab restaurants and even a super market across the road. It was perfect for our family and I would highly recommend.

Fantastic accomdation and location. The apartment was easy to book, on arrival we were met by Benedictine who was extremely helpful. The apartment and building are modern and well maintained. The apartment is spacious, very attractive & comfortable. It's immaculate & has many conveniences including a dishwasher, clothes washer & dryer, CableTV & Wifi with the instructions for each available in the very useful user guide that is provided. Parking in the attached secure underground garage is included in the rent. It also has a balcony with comfy seating. There is a supermarket at the end of the block & many shops & restaurants within easy walking distance. The neighbourhood is quiet & feels very safe. I highly recommend this rental.

Superb apartment centrally placed in Lyon. It is situated within easy reach of central Lyon, with plenty of local restaurants within a few minutes walk and a good supermarket just opposite the front door. The apartment is very well-maintained, clean, bright and comfortable and feels spacious with lots of delightful decorative touches. It is superbly well-equipped with a great kitchen with a full range of large and small appliances. The balcony is a great place to sit and have a morning coffee over-looking the gardens. Lyon is a great place to visit with lots to see and do and staying in this excellent apartment made what would have been a good trip into a superbly memorable one!

Fantastique ambiance dans un appartement de grande qualité à la décoration très raffinée, situé au centre de Lyon, entre le parc de la TÊTE D'OR et le Vieux Lyon. Un mobilier de qualité, des lits parfaits, équipements complet pour bambin, balcon très bien abrité. La voiture trouve sa place dans un garage souterrain fermé. L'accueil est parfait et les indications tant préalables que sur place sont complètes et de qualité. Bref on se sent vite chez soi et je ne peux que fortement le recommander

Perfect location, size, layout, with excellent hosts who were very communicative and friendly. The flat is in a quiet part of the city but a stone's throw from the centre. The balcony is great for a coffee in the sun. The kitchen is fully equipped although it does lack a dining table. Very comfy beds and blackout shutters on the windows, completely silent at night. I'd definitely stay here again.

The Sixième Ciel is a private apartment within a residential building. It is classified as 'Meublé de Tourisme' 3 stars. It is our personal home, which we now rent out all year long, since my husband and I moved abroad. You will thus find the comfort of a real home, carefully designed and decorated, with a specific care given to the well-being of our guests.

Who are we?

We are a couple of former Lyonnais, nowadays settled in Spain. We own two apartments in Lyon, formerly our respective homes, which we rent for short-term only and occupies during our stays in Lyon.
